Declawing: A kitty horror story

Declawing is basically amputating your cat’s toe at the last joint to take away the claw AND bone. To compare the anatomy, a human would have to amputate the distal phalanges, or the knuckle just below your nail, indicated by the red lines below. Talk to your vet about declawing because it’s an extremely drastic procedure.
