Toxoplasma gondii
Or Toxo for short, is the microbe that causes toxoplasmosis and is excreted in cat feces. Pregnant women and those with weak immune systems should not be near cat litter or any cat feces. Or any feces for that matter.

A cat’s tongue is rough because it is comprised of sharp papillae that point backwards. The papillae help clean meat off bones and help remove loose hairs from it’s coat like a brush.

Cats have 60-80 million olfactory cells, whereas humans have about 5-20 million. However, there smell is not as developed as other predators since they have a smaller olfactory area in their brain.
